Friday, September 23, 2005 LAKE CHARLES.....&...... RITA.... Beautiful houses like these (first 7 pictures) and the one above, make up the small town of Lake Charles, a small and very beautiful town on the border of Texas and Lousiana. As far as I could make out, Lake Charles seems to be a locality for retired people and has a lot of chemical factories in its vicinity. Hurricane Rita has made a small drift in its ravaging path and is predicted to make landfall near Lake Charles in the areas of Port Arthur and Beaumont, Texas.
