Thursday, June 09, 2005 Lekin & Albert Pinto... Saw these two movies in the last couple of days....Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyo Aata Hai...its a nice coool movie depicting the day to day incidences in the life of Albert Pinto a garage mechanic who wants to be in flow with the current trend. A movie made in the 70's during the strike turmoil of Mumbai mill workers, it potrays Albert as an extemely adaptable personality trying to maintain a balance in everything and taking life as it comes. When it comes to loosing temper, coincidently or not its in front of his girlfriend (Shabana Azmi, who looks very pretty) who again is equally understanding and logical. Overall a nice small movie~2 hrs! Lekin is also very nice, has a powerful story line and a spellbounding mild suspense! I wanted to see it for its beautiful songs and music. Lekin was the second CD that I bought from my hard earned money in 1997 for Rs.750. Its been one of my favorite albums ever with great music by Hridaynath Mangeshkar. Mind you the CD is recorded in mono and not stereo.
